Community of Practice | Navigating uncertainty in future scenarios
Understanding and selecting climate scenarios is crucial for effective climate risk assessment. In this event, we will explore how scenarios are generated, what bias and uncertainty mean, and how to choose the most suitable models, Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs), and Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs).
To support this process, the CLIMAAX toolbox team is developing a workflow that helps practitioners engaged in climate risk assessment to intuitively visualize climate scenarios, assess regional biases and uncertainties, and identify the most relevant options for their needs.
This session provides an opportunity to contribute to the co-design of a tool that reflects your priorities and capabilities, provide feedback on preferred visualization formats and key variables for climate risk assessment.
