Welcome to the CLIMAAX Community of Practice
The CLIMAAX Community of Practice (CoP) is a collaborative network designed to foster learning, exchange of knowledge, and collaboration among practitioners, experts, and stakeholders engaged in Climate Risk Assessment (CRA) at local and regional levels across Europe.
The CoP brings together individuals and organizations committed to advancing climate resilience by sharing experiences, co-designing solutions, and building capacity through interactive workshops, knowledge-sharing activities, and the development of innovative tools. Activities of the CoP
We’re expanding the CoP to foster engagement with a broader range of participants from experts to newcomers in climate resilience and risk assessments. Starting in autumn 2024, we will increase our interactions to include:
- Calls for evidence: Share your best practices, challenges, and lessons learned to inform CRA across Europe.
- Surveys, webinars, and thematic conference sessions: Participate in dynamic discussions and capacity-building activities focused on climate risk assessment.
- Newsletters: Receive monthly updates filled with news, insights, and useful resources to support better-informed CRA.
- Targeted Discussion Fora: Engage in meaningful dialogue and collaborate with peers to enhance your expertise and tackle challenges related to specific risks.
Your voice matters!
Share your experiences and ideas! Our community thrives on the ideas and feedback of its members. Together, we’ve co-designed a CRA Framework for harmonized and inclusive climate risk assessments across European regions and communities.
The framework was developed through a co-creation approach, combining collective intelligence and integrating input from stakeholders like you.

However, our work is far from complete. We need your insights, experiences, and challenges related to CRA to continue refining our approach.
